Milk with cinnamon and lemon

This is a drink that can be done very easily. It is recommended to use semi-skimmed milk cause the taste of fat can hide the one of the cinnamon. It is a good substitute for milk - still being milk  - for those children who are not very fond of it.  Do not use sugar, no need at all ! But if you think it really needs sugar I would recommend to let people to put the sugar they need, like they would do with tea or coffee (the known question : "how many sugarcubes do you need?")

INGREDIENTS:

2 pt of semi-skimmed milk
Peel of 1 lemon
1 cinnamon stick

We peel the lemon to get a strip being careful not to take the whites of the same as it is bitter. The peel should be slightly transparent (cause no white in it)
Add the skin and cinnamon sticks in milk and put it to heat, stirring until it boils. Check the milk all the time to avoid it overflows the pan and immediately reduce heat. In this way the cinnamon and lemon provide all their scent to the liquid. Remove from fire and keep the mixture stirring for ten minutes.
Once the mix is cold, take away the cinnamon stick and the lemon peel,  put in jar and set at the refrigerator until very cold if it is summer or keep it warm or even hot for the rest of seasons. It's tasty at any temperature !  Serve at any time, kids love it !
